An early morning chorus starring
American Robin - Turdus migratorius propinquus
by John Hartog © 2005

Enjoy the robin's sweet song, accompanied only by sounds of natural surroundings.
For meditation or relaxation, keep the volume low. For active listening, turn it
up a bit or try headphones to hear the fine details of this non-repeating,
50 minute digital stereo recording.
The peaceful Aldrich Mountains of eastern Oregon offer moments of quietude in our increasingly noisy human world. At the edge of a meadow beside Murderer's Creek, the robin flutters in and resumes his caroling at center stage. In this recording the robin's voice comes through full and clear with intrinsic subtleties from the surrounding natural soundscape. Enjoy the sounds of water and trout swimming by, and ravens that drop in to say their piece - also chickadees, woodpeckers, nuthatches and other forest creatures. All tracks were recorded June 20 2005 between 5 and 6:30 am. Total time: 51:22 minutes Cover Art: Bird Illustrations by Deb Espesete © 2005. The special characters on the cover are based on sonograms and represent two of the many phrases of this robin's song. Note: Please respect our hard work.
